STYLE || 2 Top trends for your festive outfit.
Is it just me or does this time of the year make you want to just shirk your responsibilities and eat each meal of the day in a different restaurant. Okay so maybe I’m a bit eccentric when it comes to good food, I mean who doesn’t want to have their cake and eat it.
The reason I’m telling you this is because todays shoot was shot at one of my favorite hangouts in Joburg, because I wanted to some up my foodie mood for this summer. Now I am not a food blogger nor am I going to review any of crafts dishes, but what I will say is that Craft has one of the best vibes in town, and there is truly nothing better than having some homemade blueberry bubble tea or a freak shake, while having a good conversation with your favorite people. So if you’re looking for somewhere to grab a bite and live good vibes only I will definitely recommend craft.
Now let’s move on to this outfit.
Its always exciting to see a new trend at its peak in stores, but what’s not exciting it trying to wear that trend differently from everyone else. When I purchased this dress I didn’t think it would be as draped or loose fitting, and even with the off the shoulder detail I couldn’t wear it as is, so to add structure to the drape of the dress I added my favorite ornamental belt to create a silhouette. I also added khaki block heels to accentuate my legs and balance out the look with a neutral color.
This look incorporates 2 trends for this summer, prints and the “off the shoulder” neckline.
When incorporating these trends look for items that will complement what you already have, like a top that will work easily with some denims, or a print that will match your basics. Its always easier committing to a trend when you know you have many things to wear the item with. And if you’re not so sure about the purchase, try a cheaper option before splurging on a more expensive version.
I am literally obsessed with these pictures and the beautiful lady that took them. Thank you Zeenat from(click here) Pursuing Pictorialism for this amazing shoot. You can find her on Instagram by just following the link above.
